A Master’s degree or higher level of academic certification in a relevant field is required. All candidates should possess a passion and proven talent for cultivating a diverse and equitable teaching environment and pedagogy; a track record of academic course and program development at the undergraduate and graduate level; proven ability to organize, motivate, manage and direct individuals and teams; and strong references from both colleagues as well as past students.
Candidates must also demonstrate an ability to build a successful mission-based teams while manifesting personal behaviors of professionalism, commitment, integrity, strong work ethic, perseverance, and ability to successfully inspire and manage others.
The Gordon Institute seeks an exceptionally talented, experienced, and inspiring individual with a successful track record of teaching ethics and humanistic leadership to students at both the undergraduate and graduate school level. Additionally, candidates with experience teaching at the high school level are also desirable. Extensive experience designing and delivering courses in ethics, moral reasoning and identity, and values in the context of leadership for working professionals will be essential. The successful candidate will bring not only extensive teaching experience, but also extensive life experiences that enrich their ability to elicit and inspire deep and profound discussions with students of all ages, helping them develop strong, ethical, foundations for leadership. This is a full time, 9-month, contract position.
