    The Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley is generating an applicant pool of qualified temporary instructors to teach courses in Innovation and Design (innovation strategy, economics of innovation, product management, new product development, rapid prototyping, competitive strategy in high tech sectors, design thinking), should an opening arise. The pool will remain in place for one year. Positions may range from 8.5% to 33% time, and applications are typically reviewed for summer session course needs in April, fall course needs in May, and in November for spring course needs.

    General Duties:
    In addition to teaching responsibilities, general duties include:

    [*] Advising students
    [*] Preparing course materials.

    The minimum qualifications to be an applicant are candidates must have completed a Bachelor Degree or equivalent international degree at time of application.

    Preferred qualifications:
    A minimum of 2 years' experience in the professional practice of design thinking, product management, new product development, artificial intelligence and machine learning, and/or relevant expertise in corporate innovation, strategy and competition in high technology business, government innovation policy, or not-for-profit organizations concerned with social impacts of science, technology and innovation, by start date. Higher education teaching experience and advanced degree by start date are preferred.

    Salary for all positions will be competitive and commensurate with qualifications.
