    Position:  The Auburn University Harbert College of Business seeks qualified candidates for a nine-month, non-tenure track, non-tenure eligible full-time teaching faculty position(s) in Marketing starting in August 2023. The contract is renewed annually based on need, funding, and performance. The nine-month position can be filled as a lecturer/senior lecturer depending on the background and experience of the candidate.  This nine-month position is designed to support the Marketing Program of Auburn University’s Harbert College of Business which includes major and minor programs in marketing as well as a minor in professional selling.

     

    Responsibilities: The primary responsibility of this position is to teach undergraduate marketing courses and support the growth of the marketing major and minors. The successful candidate will be expected to bring teaching experience, innovation, enthusiasm, and technology to their marketing courses.  

     

    Candidates with a teaching record and/or an industry background in marketing and sales are strongly desired. Under typical circumstances, the teaching load for the position will be equivalent to four three-credit hour courses per semester, which includes course development and course management activities. In addition to instructional duties, successful candidates will be expected to help develop and promote the department’s marketing and sales initiatives. Candidates should be comfortable in teaching different modalities including face-to-face, online, and hybrid face-to-face & online. Salary and rank are commensurate with experience.

     

    About the Department:  The Marketing Department is focused on “strategic marketing” with an emphasis on the organizational frontline as a shared focus of our faculty. The Auburn Marketing program includes an undergraduate major and support of our MBA programs.

    Successful candidates for this position will join an existing faculty team that currently includes fourteen full-time, professionally qualified faculty. The Marketing department is growing and is currently the second largest major in the Harbert College.
