The David F. Rankin College of Business at Southern Arkansas University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant/Associate Professor of Information Systems position beginning January 2024 or August 2024. Review of applications will begin September 20, 2023 and continue until position is filled.
The Rankin College of Business is accredited by AACSB International and offers conventional business degrees at the undergraduate level, as well as an MBA degree. Southern Arkansas University is the fastest growing university in Arkansas and is located in Magnolia in the southwestern part of the state.
Duties: Teach undergraduate and graduate information systems courses such as programming, database, systems analysis and design, data analytics, networking and web programming; produce scholarly research leading to publications in refereed journals; advise students and engage in professional activities; serve on various committees at the college and university level; display excellence in teaching, intellectual contributions, advising, and service to the college, university, community and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Candidates must possess an appropriate doctorate in Management Information Systems or ABD in Information Systems or a related discipline from an AACSB-accredited university. Preferred consideration will be given to applicants with professional experience in the Information Systems field with relevant teaching experience at the university level and the ability to make scholarly contributions through refereed journal publications and other intellectual activities. Must have demonstration of excellence in oral and written communication skills and be able to work collaboratively with peers on projects and committees.
