  • Sales Program Director and Lecturer

    The Department of Marketing and Supply Chain at the University of Kentucky is pleased to invite applications for a nine-month Sales Program Director and Lecturer position with a preferred start date of August 2024.


    This position involves two essential functions:

     

    (1) Overseeing and managing our emerging Sales Program. This involves (a) generating and maintaining revenue from strategic corporate partnerships, (b) facilitating student experiential learning and engagement opportunities, which include our annual Sales Competition and Sales Networking events, and may include attending and coaching students for regional and national sales competitions, and (c) overseeing the administration and growth of our undergraduate Sales Certificate enrollment.

     

    (2) Teaching three courses per semester. These typically include Personal Selling and Sales Management courses. At times, there may be a need to cover an additional course (such as Principles of Marketing or Negotiations). Teaching load/distribution of effort may vary from year to year based on department needs.


    Preferred qualifications:


    • Business-focused Masters degree

    • Experience growing and managing relationships with external partners.

    • Experience in technical or business-to-business sales.

    • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
