    As a part of a diverse community of faculty and staff who represent many faith systems and worldviews, the Byrum School of Business at Marian University in Indianapolis, IN seeks a dynamic and innovative leader for the position of full-time, Professor in Finance who will support Marian University's Catholic Franciscan Mission and Identity by teaching developmental, service, and upper level Finance courses. Teaching-focused candidates in any area of Finance are encourage to apply.

    [b]Essential Duties and Responsibilities:[/b]

    [*]Actively engage the Catholic Franciscan mission and identity of Marian University by modeling the Franciscan Sponsorship Values and honoring the legacy of the founding congregation through transformative education, unity in diversity leadership through service, integrating faith and life, and institutional policies.
    [*]Teaching Load: 12 credits per academic year.
    [*]Student advising with occasional summer advising expected
    [*]Regular curriculum development/enhancement activities
    [*]Membership on university and department committees
    [*]Ongoing professional development activities
    [*]Teach in a team environment
    [*]Manage student led teams
    [*]Demonstrated teaching excellence and or scholarship performance for senior level ranks of Associate or Full Professor of Finance
    [*]Create and foster classroom engagements between students and external business professionals.
    [*]Link area of expertise to other areas of business.
    [*]Help students develop key skills related to communication, teamwork and problem solving.
    [*]Facilitate, mentor and coach students.
    [*]Assist students in developing career plans.
    [*]Connect students with internship and employment opportunities.
    [*]Share in the ongoing development and implementation of department and school activities and projects.
    [*]Engage in service and other professional activities.
    [*]Participate in the life of the campus and university service, including participation in faculty governance and co-curricular programs.
    [*]Other duties as assigned.

    [b]Required Qualifications:[/b]
    [list]
    [*]A graduate degree in Finance, or MBA with a Finance concentration
    [*]Teaching experience of Corporate Finance, Mergers and Acquisitions, Managerial Finance and/or International Finance.
    [*]Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
    [*]Commitment to collegiality and working in a team environment.
