    [b]Two Postdoctoral Researchers in Research Council of Finland project ADVOCACY (fixed-term positions for 2 years)[/b]

    We are now looking for postdoctoral scholars interested in research in the areas of business-society relations, employment relations, lobbying, communication studies and/or gender & feminist studies. The positions are within the Organizational Communication discipline at the Department of Management Studies. The postdoctoral positions are filled in Research Council of Finland funded project [i]The Influence of Business Advocacy in Finnish Employment Relations and Governmental Policies (ADVOCACY)[/i].     [b]Our expectations[/b]
    The postdoctoral researchers conduct research according to the project’s research plan. The positions allow the chosen researchers to pursue exciting and societally relevant research together with the research group and to develop personal competencies. We expect the candidates to conduct high quality research and aim to publish in the best international journals relevant to their research, together with the research group. The exact research tasks for each postdoc are decided on together with the PI, based on candidates’ prior experience, and the research plan and tasks described within it. The positions are associated with a low teaching load (approx. 5%).

    [b]Your experience and ambitions[/b]
    We look for scholars who have completed their doctoral studies in a relevant field of study (e.g. social sciences, political science, communication, management studies). Suitable candidates have experience and expertise in qualitative research methods and collecting varied qualitative data (e.g. documents, media material, social media material, interviews). Ideally, the candidates are also knowledgeable of the project’s research area. The applicants should have demonstrated the ability to conduct research independently and to publish in high-quality scholarly journals. The positions require fluent skills in the English language. Fluency in Finnish is a merit.

    Post-doctoral researcher is required to be in residence for the duration of the appointment. The starting date of the employment relationship can be negotiated, ideally commencing September 1st 2024 or shortly after.

    These Postdoctoral Researcher positions are fixed-term positions for 2 years. The expected starting salary for a Postdoctoral Researcher is approximately 4391,71 €/month (income before deduction of taxes), depending on experience and qualifications.
