    Job Description


    Stevens Institute of Technology is looking for experienced adjunct faculty to develop a 1.5-credit course for the cohort-based online Master of Business Administration (MBA) program. 


     


    About


    The Online MBA at Stevens is an AACSB-accredited program that combines business knowledge with the technology and analytics that are necessary to excel in today’s data-centric world. Led by industry-leading faculty engaged with top-tier organizations, our part-time, online program offers tailored leadership development, individualized career services and two on-site immersions in the New York City region.


     


    Duties 


    The Adjunct Course Developer will work with a learning designer to create a high-quality, engaging online course composed of both synchronous and asynchronous elements. The incumbent will be required to create a course outline; source relevant course materials; design assignments and assessments; create presentation materials; record asynchronous lecture content; and produce a course guide that can be used by future instructors of the course.  


     


    Time Commitment


    The course development process will take place over a period of approximately 8-10 weeks. Course Developers are expected to devote approximately 10-12 hours of time each week, including 1-2 hours of collaborative work with a learning designer and 8-9 hours of independent work. 


     


    Qualifications:




    • Master’s (required) or Ph.D. (preferred) in Organizational Development or a related field.




    • Previous teaching experience in the subject area is required. 




    • Experience teaching in a synchronous online environment is preferred. 




    • Course development or authoring experience is strongly preferred.
