Position: The Department of Business Analytics & Information Systems (BASY) in the Harbert College of Business at Auburn University seeks applications for the Eminent Scholar and Professor of Business Analytics and Information Systems. This is a tenured position with the Full Professor rank and would have a start date of August 2025.
Responsibilities: The Eminent Scholar will be expected to take a leading role to further enhance the research profile of the Department. The successful candidate should bring experience, innovation, enthusiasm, and leadership to all research activities in the Department. The instructional responsibilities of this position will focus primarily on graduate-level courses.
About the Department & Programs: The Department of Business Analytics & Information Systems comprises 16 tenure track faculty, four full-time lecturers, one professor of practice and one full-time position devoted to the professional development of undergraduate students. The department also routinely hires 6 to 8 adjuncts per semester. The department offers undergraduate degrees in Business Analytics and Information Systems and a Master's and Ph.D. in Information Systems. Our undergraduate programs boast some of the highest starting salaries and most successful placements at Auburn. The Business Analytics program consistently ranks well amongst the top programs in the nation in US News rankings. Our faculty has diverse research interests and publish in top-tier journals, such as Information Systems Research, Journal of Management Information Systems, Production & Operations Management, Manufacturing & Service Operations Management and European Journal of Information Systems.
