    Assistant/Associate Professor of Business Strategy

    Whittier College invites applications for an Assistant/Associate Professor of Business Strategy. This will be a full-time position beginning August 1, 2025.

    Tenure Status: Tenure Track
    Exempt Status: Exempt
    Hours: Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week
    Full Time/Part Time status: full-time
    Salary Range: $85,000-90,000.00; Salary is commensurate with experience, skills, and knowledge.

    Reports to: Department Chair

    Location/Department: Whittier College (Main Campus)

    Responsibilities: This tenure-track position is for an Assistant/Associate Professor of Business Administration (BSAD) focusing on the area of strategy. This position will primarily teach our capstone strategy course, as well as other core and elective courses in BSAD. Outside of the capstone course responsibilities, preference will be given to candidates who have experience teaching one or more of these areas: introductory business, business analytics, and management and strategy electives. As well, the candidate will be expected to contribute to the school's liberal education program. The teaching load for this position is three courses per semester.

    Position Specifications and Requirements:
    Minimum Qualifications: This position requires a Ph.D. in Management with a focus on strategy, Economics with a focus on business strategy, or other related fields from an AACSB accredited school. ABDs will be considered if the degree will be awarded prior to the position's start date. Teaching excellence is of primary importance, so preference will be given to candidates who can demonstrate prior teaching experience in the position's topic area.
