The Role and Responsibilities
Working closely with both the DVCE RMIT and President of RMIT Vietnam this role will support and drive the leadership and management of academic matters at RMIT Vietnam as well as lead the academic development of the university with a focus on growth and sustainability. The role will also provide strategic leadership, management and the effective coordination of student service groups to enhance the student experience. In addition, this position will promote and drive strong linkages and collaboration between RMIT Vietnam and RMIT Australia, all the while ensuring that the University activities comply with relevant Acts, legal demands and ethical standard locally whilst adhering to the business philosophy of RMIT Australia.

With a doctoral degree or equivalent with a demonstrated record of research and/ or innovation you will have a proven leadership background with a wealth of experience in driving academic strategy and quality planning initiatives with significant outputs. You will be able to demonstrate innovation in your approach to application of technology, systems and processes and have a comprehensive understanding of all academic matters relating to University teaching and learning process, academic quality, and digital innovation and program structures.

With exceptional influencing and relationship-building skills, you will be able to effectively engage and influence stakeholders across a global and diverse organisation. You will lead and empower staff to deliver innovative learning programs and multicultural education activities, whilst ensuring quality outcomes are aligned with organisational objectives.

An understanding of private higher education, research and vocational education in developing countries is advantageous.

Please note
English is the language of teaching and communication at RMIT Vietnam. For this role, the minimum requirement is IELTS 7.0 (or equivalent).
Non-Vietnamese candidates must also meet the requirements of the Vietnamese Work Permit process.
