Under the supervision of the Director of General Accounting, the Associate Director assists in the management of the Office of General Accounting and its systems, processes and personnel including, but not limited to: capital project financing, construction accounting, grants accounting and the annual audit; establishes goals and develops policies and procedures for the office; acts with the authority of the Director in his/her absence; and performs additional duties as required.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college and three years of related professional work experience is required. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance or other business-related field; CPA (Certified Public Accountant) license; financial management experience in an educational setting or similar institution; and tax expertise is preferred. Candidate must possess excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills; strong analytical skills; and the ability to work with large amounts of data stored in various internal databases. This includes intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills and the ability to present findings in a clear and concise manner.
