Professor Breeden has published articles in refereed scholarly journals including The Journal of Legal Economics, Public Finance Quarterly, The Journal of Behavioral Economics, and several book chapters. He has been a visiting scholar at the Center for Study of Public Choice at George Mason University and has served as a manuscript reviewer for several academic journals. He has served as Director of the MS in Applied Economics program, has chaired both the Graduate and Undergraduate Committees in the College of Business Administration, and is currently an at-large faculty representative on the Dean’s Executive Council.
His private sector work experience includes the aerospace industry (McDonnell-Douglas Corp.; Radiation Incorporated), and the public accounting industry (Ernst & Ernst, CPA’s, CPA awarded in 1972, Florida). Since 1980, he has served as an economic consultant and expert witness in civil litigation involving business damages, wrongful death, and personal injury.
Professor Breeden has been involved in the community in a variety of volunteer and non-profit endeavors including board memberships (Milwaukee Sunrise Rotary Club; Volunteer Center of Greater Milwaukee) and advisory board memberships (Wisconsin Forum, Heartland Institute of Chicago).
