Ben aims to research topics that are of interest to the academic finance and investment communities. He has published in internationally respected academic journals and journals with a practitioner focus. His research interests include the impact of liquidity on stock returns, the impact of behavioural biases on stock returns, the returns to technical analysis, momentum investing techniques, predictors of financial distress, the determinants of target and acquirer gains in takeovers, principle-agent issues with respect to treasury operations, and the dynamics of sports betting markets.
