Expertise: He has published in the areas of mixed-use development, “green” commercial real estate, real estate mutual funds, REIT credit ratings, housing, and has research interests in mixed-asset portfolio construction, real estate valuation, and corporate transparency. Dr. Tidwell has won awards for most outstanding paper at the American Real Estate Society meeting, and has been recognized for excellence in teaching. Dr. Tidwell has presented papers at both the American Real Estate Society and the American Real Estate and Urban Economics Association meetings. He also has industry experience in commercial real estate valuation, and trust and investments. Dr. Tidwell holds the Certified Financial Planner® professional designation.
