Expertise: Mr. Makken's research areas include interest rate yield curves, foreign exchange markets, monetary policy and financial risk. During the past fifteen years, a specific interest developed in the area of how a comprehensive development of a strong natural resource sector (incl. financing approaches and stakeholder engagement) can be a critical success factor for sustainable economic and social development of (developing) countries.
