Position Requirements: Department of Management
Required Level: Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and Professor
Position Requirements: The Department of Management within the College of Economics and Political Science, Sultan Qaboos University, invites applications for fulltime and visiting faculty positions from suitable candidates in the following area:
Entrepreneurship, Strategy, International Business, and Business & Society. The successful candidate is expected to teach courses and supervise postgraduate (MBA, M.Sc. and Ph.D.) students in international business, international management, strategic management, entrepreneurship, and global business strategy courses. Prior experience of supervising research students in these areas, as well as substantial publications in top tier indexed journals will be considered favorably.
These positions require that:
- Applicants should have a Ph.D. in Management or Business Administration from a respected/accredited international university.

Position Requirements: Department of Operations Management and Business Statistics

Position Requirements: The College of Economics and Political Science is seeking to fill positions of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor and Professor in the areas of Operations Management; Supply Chain Management; Logistics; Procurement; Warehouse/Inventory management; Business Analytics to join the Department of Operations Management and Business Statistics on fulltime contracts.
Although all the relevant areas will be considered, we are particularly interested in applicants with teaching, research or scholarship expertise in the following areas:
- Supply Chain and Logistics. The successful candidate is expected to teach courses in supply chain management, logistics, transportation management, purchasing, contracts and negotiations, quality/risk management and inventory/warehouse management.
- Business Analytics. The position requires teaching in big data analytics, data mining, data visualization, machine learning, database management, data analytics software and statistical programming languages (e.g. Python, R).
The positions further require that:
- Applicants should have a PhD in Operations Management or in other area related to Business Analytics, Supply Chain and Logistics.
- Candidates should have experience of teaching undergraduate and postgraduate (M.Sc. and MBA) level courses; supervising PhD/MSc research projects in the aforementioned areas.

Position Requirements: Department of Information Systems
Required Level: Assistant Professor
Position Requirements: The Department invites fulltime and visiting faculty positions from suitable candidates. The position in the Information Systems Department within College of Economics and Political Science, Sultan Qaboos University. Candidates should fulfil the following requirements:
- Minimum Experience: 5 years
- Should have a PhD in Information Systems (IS) or Computer Science or related areas from an internationally recognized university
- MSc in Information Systems (IS) or Computer Science or related areas from an internationally recognized university (strictly NO MBA)
- Should be specialized in one or more of the following areas: Data Sciences, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Business Analytics.
- Should have experience in teaching IS courses at undergraduate and postgraduate (MSc and MBA) levels and supervising MSc/PhD research in IS
- Able to develop new courses at both undergraduate and postgraduate (MSc and MBA) levels
- Experience in academic advising and curriculum development
- Should be active researchers in their areas of specialization and intellectually engaged in their discipline

Applicants should demonstrate excellence in teaching and research. Successful candidate is expected to:
- Teach at undergraduate and postgraduate levels (MSc. and MBA) course, and supervise MSc and PhD Thesis. The normal load is 3-4 sections per semester (2 semesters per academic year).

- Economics with specialization in Experimental Economics, Behavioral Economics, Industrial Economics, Monetary Economics, or Labor Economics: The successful candidate is expected to teach courses at the undergraduate and postgraduate level and supervise postgraduate (MBA and M.Sc.) students in general areas of Economics, Experimental Economics, Behavioral Economics, Industrial Economics, Monetary Economics, or Labor Economics. Prior experience of supervising research students in these areas, as well as substantial publications in top-tier indexed journals will be considered favorably.

- Experience in academic advising and curriculum development.
- Candidates’ rank should be either Associate (Omani) or full professor (Omani or non-Omani).
- Candidate must good behaviour, great personality, enthusiast, cooperative and promote teamwork.
- Candidate must have a doctorate and specialization in Political Science /International Relations and Security Studies (SS), from an internationally recognized university.
- Candidate must have at least 15 years of experience and holding the Professorship position for at least 10 years.
- Candidate will be able to teach undergraduate and postgraduate programs and supervise Masters and Doctoral theses, among other courses, International Relations, Military Studies, Political Science, Conflict Management/Resolution, Strategic Studies, International Political Economy, International Conflicts and War Studies.
