The Department of Economics is seeking applicants for Visiting Lecturer or Senior Lecturer (non-tenure track) beginning August 2023. This appointment is for one academic year. Lecturers are vital to the teaching mission and vibrant undergraduate program in the Department. Responsibilities will include 9 to 12 hours of teaching each semester (depending on class size) and courses will include principles of microeconomics and lower-division undergraduate courses. Additional responsibilities of the position include advising of economics majors and other administrative responsibilities. Minimum qualifications are: Ph.D. in Economics at beginning of appointment, prior college/university teaching experience, and a demonstrated potential for quality teaching, especially in a large lecture format. Evidence of experience or interest in teaching on-line and distance instruction is valued. Salaries are competitive.
