The Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley is generating an applicant pool of qualified temporary instructors to teach courses in Persuasive Communication and Interpersonal Dynamics, should an opening arise. The pool will remain in place for one year. Positions may range from 8.5% to 33% time, and applications are typically reviewed for summer course needs in April, fall course needs in May, and in November for spring course needs.
In addition to teaching responsibilities, general duties include holding office hours, assigning grades, advising students and preparing course materials.
The minimum qualifications to be an applicant is a Bachelor Degree or equivalent international degree in progress at time of application.
A Bachelor Degree or equivalent international degree by start date.
A minimum of 2 years’ experience in the professional practice of persuasive communications (public speaking, storytelling, acting, improvisation, rhetoric, debate) and/or interpersonal dynamics facilitation (executive coaching, communication and feedback skills, relational processes, T-Group methodology) in a business, government or not-for-profit organization by start date.
Salary for all positions will be competitive and commensurate with qualifications.
