Job Description

Stevens Institute of Technology is looking for experienced adjunct faculty to develop a 1.5-credit course for the cohort-based online Master of Business Administration (MBA) program.

About

The Online MBA at Stevens is an AACSB-accredited program that combines business knowledge with the technology and analytics that are necessary to excel in today’s data-centric world. Led by industry-leading faculty engaged with top-tier organizations, our part-time, online program offers tailored leadership development, individualized career services and two on-site immersions in the New York City region.

The incumbent will be required to create a course outline; source relevant course materials; design assignments and assessments; create presentation materials; record asynchronous lecture content; and produce a course guide that can be used by future instructors of the course.

Time Commitment

The course development process will take place over a period of approximately 8-10 weeks. Course Developers are expected to devote approximately 10-12 hours of time each week, including 1-2 hours of collaborative work with a learning designer and 8-9 hours of independent work.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s (required) or Ph.D. (preferred) in Organizational Development or a related field.

  • Previous teaching experience in the subject area is required.

  • Experience teaching in a synchronous online environment is preferred.

  • Course development or authoring experience is strongly preferred.
